As last week I stayed at London,so I decided to made a video for the street view.
Since my computer doesn’t support the installation of PR, I used a different software to edit this video.
Also this week we learned how to shoot video. My instructor introduced the camera and basic shooting techniques and discussed the Sony PXW-Z90 and its capabilities: visual and auditory. I completed the assembly and disassembly of the equipment myself, which was a great experiment. White balance, aperture, gain, zoom/focus and different microphones that can be used to record sound. After that, I learned how to edit videos using PR, a software program.
Today, there is still a lot of gender discrimination in life, especially in the job market. In the 20 or 30 years of women’s employment, there are various forms of gender-based discrimination: women are not recruited by companies when applying for jobs; women are asked about marriage plans during interviews; women experience sexual harassment in the workplace; women are subject to salary reductions and job transfers when they become pregnant…
Women can not decide in whether they are suitable for a particular job, and even less do they have a choice. This situation needs to be broken and the choice of whether or not to apply for employment should be returned to women. The relevant authorities need to be careful not to turn protection into a leash.
This week we started to learn more about video ,for me I actually had some experience about how to record the video,but now the only thing I remember is that all the equipments are really heavy. Teacher asked us to manage and organise the tripods by ourselves,and she will walk around and give some direction.To be honest,at first I don’t think I can finish this job,but my showed me the most effective way to manage the tripod and all the purposes of the buttons . Finally,I can understand how to install the camera and tripod,adjust the aperture and focus,also we did some little practice in each group.
Task:
As next week,it’s reading week ,so I will go outside and make our own work,and we planned to record the skater boy in Brighton.
But due to the bad weather,we changed the idea,and we thought that to record the rainy days also is a good idea.
We started to learn some techniques from photoshop,for me,I actually had some good experiences with Ps,so I think it’s not a difficult job,so I can adjust something photoshop.
For the first one, I added a different filter and increased the brightness of the pics,tried to make the cat in the focus.
For second picture,I tried to adjust the part of the sky as I want it brighter, and I used the lasso tool to do it.
For the third picture, the original one is to dark,so I adjusted the all picture.
For the fourth picture, the original one is to dark,so I adjusted the all picture.
For the last one,I wanted to make the contrast stronger,so I selected the left part of the picture,used the curve panel to increase the left

Making a photo or taking a photo?
we are able to look a lot of pics in this article, some of them are quite stunning, but the first thing I saw is this pic.
The photographer used the similar way to the construction of a painting, the lady in the left is watch the letter, and the sun shone on her face through the window and her baby lie in the bed.This picture makes me feel a little depressed ,the lady looks like quite upset, we may speculate the story about the picture.
Now many people are able to afford the cameras, and they could capture the pics whatever they like, but some of them couldn’t make the picture like this .in my opinion ,I think a good pic should be storytelling ,which worth people thinking about it.
This is a great topic although for many students who are studying abroad are hard to feel there is a sweet home abroad,so I tried to decorate my own place ,and make it like my actual home,although it’s a bit hard but it makes me feel better
Now it’s near the Chinese new year,so this decoration is an important thing in China ,it reminds me feel like I’m home now.
Seminar: My three personal pictures
This was my first time to take picture for myself, and tried to edit those pics as at that moment I watched a online tutorial about filter,until now I still think this kind of filter is quite beautiful.
Note:
For this week,I think I’ve learned some thing from online tutorial.I’m always interested in the PS techniques, especially the techniques about portraits,when I edit the pics for my models I could have a lot fun.
Before it ,I got used to use some Imagenomic Portraiture to smooth the faces, cuz it’s a simple way to get the effect I wanted, but now I realised that this way will make the skin loses its texture.
What I learned online called Neutral grey, by using this way, we can keep the details of skin but the skin will looks soother and the figure will be more defined.
This week ,I tried to edit my sound recording,firstly,I selected some good materials from the equipment.
I noticed that the volume of some recordings is not really clear,so I tried to increase the volume of the recording,and then time to mix them.
according to the feedback from my classmates,I adjusted some the order of the sounds.Also, they think that some of the recording is so noisy, and whole the recording is too tedium,so I tried to make the second version more complicated ,I think that will make my work better.
In this week,we learn the use of Tascam recorder and Audition.This is my second time to record the sound,but I’m still interested to record the sound from different places.
I can still remember that it was terrible experience at the first time I used the equipment,as I wasn’t familiar with this.
But ,I’ve learned so much from last terrible experience,so this time I record the sound from hospital when I was ready.
And now I think I can do some mixing by AU ,that will be amazing .
The sounds of hospital
We may think of cars,Robots and so on when we see the word technology,especially the sound of technology around us,sometimes we can hear that many different technological sound in our daily life ,but sometimes we didn’t notice, now we can use the Audio to record the sound and start to do some editing with AU. We live in an age of rapid technological development,it’s really easy to record the sounds of technology,but what I think is to do something different,and I think there must be something I want .Yes,it’s in the hospital.
Yes you can see,there are a lot of machines in the hospital, also there are a lots of people,I don’t want to bother them too much so I just recorded the sound of the phone calling and the machine that can text the heartbeat.
I didn’t edit too much this ,what I did is to connect them and posted it on my blog,next step is to think about what should I do with this recording.
For me Au is a application that I’ve never used it,so when I edited it I meet a lot of problems,and I kept to ask my friend what should I do now?
After many questions ,I finally find a way to do the editing by myself.last week I tried to focus on the surrounding sounds about technology,I think it’s not hard find one ,but I still made some mistakes with the audio…
